Hey, it’s your favorite six-foot-tall publicist, SheRise Ford, here to spill the tea on my latest project. As you may already know, I was the casting director for Trev Rich’s latest single, “Flex Sumn,” off his album “To Make a Long Story Short,” dropping on December 19, 2016.
Let me tell you, folks, being a casting director is not as easy as it sounds. You have to find the perfect people to fit the director’s vision while also keeping the talent happy. Lucky for me, I have an eye for talent and a gift for making people feel like superstars.
So, I put on my director’s hat and started scouring Instagram for models that would be perfect for the video. After some scrolling, I stumbled upon Blake (@blakefactory), Imonie Ruby (@imonieruby), Sapphire Alexis (@kingxlexis_), and Hope (@yooLast_hope). Let me tell you, these ladies are stunning and have some serious moves.
Once I had my models locked in, it was time to get down to business. I had to make sure everyone was on the same page, and we were all ready to create some magic. I even hired the talented photographer Damien Carter (@slaucienega) to capture all the behind-the-scenes moments.
After a few takes, the chemistry between the models and Trev Rich was undeniable. I knew we had something special on our hands. And, let me tell you, the trailer for the video looks AMAZING. Birdman himself posted it on his page, and the fans went wild.
All in all, being a casting director is a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun. I love seeing my vision come to life, and I love working with talented people.
